What employment services to job seekers are available?
Surrey WorkBC Centres provide assistance and customized services to support job seekers through the job search process with:
- Staffed Resource Area: Computers, phones, faxes and photocopiers, labour market information, job search and community resources
- Individualized Employment Planning:If you are qualified for Case Management Services, a Case Manager will assist you to build your individualized employment plan and to identify what you will need to be successful in finding work
- Workshops and Training:WorkBC Centres offer a wide range of job search workshops, short and long-term training, and apprenticeship programs depending on your needs and eligibility. Consult with a Case Manager on which services better fit your employment needs
- Specialized Services:WorkBC Centres offer customized services to Aboriginals, Francophone, Immigrants, Person with Disabilities, Survivors of Violence and/or Abuse, Youth and Older Workers. Specialized Assessments and Self-Employment Services are also available for eligible clients
